“Happy Christmas (War Is Over) By John Lennon is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Side Note, I was alive in the world when they recorded this song. Man I’m getting older.
“Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” is a Christmas song by John Lennon, Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band. Kodachrome

“Kodachrome’ By Paul Simon is fun song. I have to tell you. This one is for my Dad that taught me the right lyrics. When I was young I sang Cordless phone in place of Kodachrome. Funny, but true.
“Kodachrome” is a song written and recorded by Paul Simon. It appeared on his 1973 album There Goes Rhymin’ Simon.
The song is named after the Kodak 35mm film Kodachrome. The song became a major hit in the United States, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as the Billboard adult contemporary chart, but it was not released as a single in Britain because, according to American Top 40host Casey Kasem, the British Broadcasting Corporation would not play the trademarked name.
Kodak required the album to note that Kodachrome is a trademark of Kodak. In the late 1990s, Kodak used the song in commercials to sell film.
The lyrics on There Goes Rhymin’ Simon differed in wording from those on the The Concert in Central Park and Paul Simon’s Concert in the Park, August 15, 1991 albums. The former said, “…everything looks worse in black and white,” but the latter said, “…everything looks better in black and white.”
Smoke on the Water

” Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple is a true Classic. Does anyone think different?
“Smoke on the Water” is a song by the British hard rock band Deep Purple. It was first released on their 1972 album Machine Head.
This song is known for and recognisable by its central theme, a four-note “blues scale” melody harmonised in parallel fourths. The riff, played on a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar by Ritchie Blackmore, is later joined by hi-hat and distorted organ, then drums, then electric bass parts before the start of Ian Gillan’s vocal.
| “ | We all came out to Montreux, on the Lake Geneva shorelineTo make records with a mobile, we didn’t have much time | ” |
Jon Lord doubles the guitar part on a Hammond B3 organ played through a distorted Marshall amp, creating a tone very similar to that of the guitar. Blackmore uses two fingers to pluck[1] so the pairs of notes can be played exactly simultaneously, to match the organ’s timing more closely.
The Smoke on the Water riff
The song order is intro(riff)-verse-chorus-riff-verse-chorus-riff-solo-riff-verse-chorus-riff-solo. The first solo is performed on guitar by Ritchie Blackmore, and the second and final solo is performed on an organ by Jon Lord until the song fades out.
