“Party in the U.S.A.” is a pop song performed by American recording artist Miley Cyrus. The song was written by Lukasz Gottwald, Claude Kelly and Jessica Cornish, and produced by Gottwald. Released as the lead single from Cyrus’ second extended play The Time of Our Lives, it served as promotion for her Wal-Mart clothing line with Max Azria. The song was scheduled to be released to mainstream radio on August 3, 2009, but the release date was changed to July 29 following an unauthorized leak on the Internet. “Party in the U.S.A.” is a mid-tempo song and has prominent pop rock characteristics. The song’s lyrics evoke Cyrus’ move from Nashville, Tennessee to Los Angeles, California.

The song garnered commercial success for Cyrus in several nations, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States. In the Billboard Hot 100, the song reached its highest international peak at number two due to strong digital sales that placed it at number one on Hot Digital Songs. The song became her best charting single, first number one on Hot Digital Songs and Hollywood Records’ fastest selling song. The song reached number one on the Billboard Pop 100 chart on October 30th, 2009. The song has stayed in the top ten of the Hot 100 for 14 weeks beating out The Climb’s eight weeks.

All Songs are pre-production

The following is a bio for each song created for Dr. Mic and the Brain Ninjas.

1. Half Black and Half Hunky
This song was written by kissingermd and Greg Kocis. The music and Greg’s vocals were recorded in New York at Greg’s Studio – Cage Café. The lead vocals were done at my old studio Scratch Track. The song is a Novelty song. We want you to laugh at it. It’s mostly about my feeling as to being Bi-racial, and is not made to make people upset. If it upsets you then good art solicits a response.

Marketing – We are not sure, but if someone wanted to make a you-tube video. That would be cool.

2. Frayed
This song was written by kissingermd, Tony, and Nick. It was recorded at Scratch Track, and is truly one of my favorites. This is one of those ones that just came together. Tony I had a discussion about keeping common goal, and being frayed. I had written some lyrics that fit. The so much weight on my back I can feel the heart attack. Tony plays most of the instruments except for the bass. Nick played the bass. I pick the entire instruments that I wanted in the song. I had a sound in mind. I produced the song, directing Tony on the sounds I wanted. I think with Tony’s booming voice and the arrangement it is a really cool tune.

Marketing – We think this one would be good in a T.V. show or a movie

3. I Have No Idea
This song belongs to Tim Richards. It was recorded at Scratch Track, and is another favorite. The song was written by Tim, Tony, and Nick. It is good old Blues rock. Tony is lead vocals; Nick is Bass programming drums, and mixer. Tim is lead guitar. Nice tune. It was actually a birthday gift recorded on my birthday.

Marketing – We think this one would be good for a stop smoking campaign, domestic violent campaign, or it would be good in a T.V. show or Movie or Video game

4. Innuendo
This song was written by Lisa, Tony, Nick, and kissingermd. I got the idea from EE Cumming’s poem titled “she being brand new.” It’s really to showcase Lisa’s voice. It is in the vain of R&B. It was recorded at Scratch Track. I like this one, but do not think it’s the best. Nick plays all the instruments. Lisa and Tony do the Vocals.

Marketing – T.V. or Movie

5. Take My Hand
This song was written by John and kissingermd. It’s country and was to show off Alice’s voice. It was first recorded at Scratch Track and then at Innertube. It’s a fun song. I wrote most of the lyrics while I was working at a night job. Walk around the office humming. Nick played all the instruments on the recording.

Marketing – Would love for a young country artist to pick up. Like Swift, but we can see this also in T.V. or a Movie

6. Little bit of Sun Shine
This is a country song. It was written by kissingermd, John, and Rob. It was recorded at Innertube Studio. Vocals are done by Rob. He also played the drums. Nick plays the rest of the instruments. This song has a definite 70’s feel to it. That was not planed, but that’s what happened. It’s a good reflection song.

Marketing- we also think that this would be good back ground music in a T. V. show or in a movie.

7. Torch Light Junkie
This song was designed to push the envelope. It was written by Nick, and kissingermd. Nick plays all the music, and does the lead vocals. I do the second vocals. It was recorded at Innertube Studio. This is another song that if it offends you, well good art solicits a responds.

Marketing- Movie, T.V. show or Video Game

8. New Girl
This song is owned by Clint Walker and his band mate Mike Miller. They are known as Rhythm. We did a cover of the song. I really liked it and wanted to do it. I do lead vocals. Nick played the music and did back up vocals. We added drums to our version. It’s a cool tune. I think if I could have got Clint in the Studio to do the vocals it would be better.

Marketing- We same it either in a movie or on T.V. show, but you would have to talk to Clint about that.

9. Download
This is our attempt at a MJ song. It also has the feel of Kool and the Gang. It was recorded at Innertube Studio. Nick play’s all of the instruments. I have lead Vocals, and Rollz does the rap. It’s a really cool idea. Nick and Rollz like the song, but I think it could be better.

Marketing – getting MJ to record it would be the ultimate. It could be used in a movie or T.V. show or in a pod show.

10. Basic
This song was done by kissingermd. It was recorded at Scratch Track. It’s a groovy little instrumental. Greg likes this one, and that is a compliment to me. He has a lot of talent when it comes to music.

Marketing – Background music in a T.V. show, Movie, or Video game. It would make a nice ring tone.

11. Someday
This song was done by Greg and kissingermd. He recorded the music in NY and I did vocals at Scratch Track. We both wrote the songs. This song I like to call new groove techno, but that’s just me. It will make you tap your foot.

Marketing – movie, T.V. Video Game

12. Real Fine QT
This is another song that was written by Greg and kissingermd. He wrote the Music, and I wrote the lyrics. It was a rush production, but Greg thinks it the best one that we have done together. It is a different kind of rap song.

Marketing- Background music in a movie, T.V. shows Video game, Ring tone or Pod show.

13. Internet Killed the Video Star
This is another song that was written by Nick and kissingermd. Nick wrote the Music, we wrote the lyrics together. Chuck sang and was influencial in the chorus.

Marketing- Background music in a movie, T.V. shows Video game, Ring tone or Pod show.

14. Take Me Over
This music was written by kissingermd and Nick. Nick played all the instruments and kissingermd wrote the lyrics and sang.

Marketing- Background music in a movie, T.V. shows Video game, Ring tone or Pod show.
